A FEW NOTES ON THE PORTAL

1. The video above says monthly music. Ah, yes, optimism! In practice, the timing and number of posts is erratic. But I do post a lot of music here, and I do my best to ensure that it rocks. Which brings me to another languaging issue...

2. Bandcamp's built-in subscription text says something about supporting the artist in a sustainable way. I love that idea. Also, I don't know what they mean! But please do know that subscribing here does help support me. This is one of the only ways that I receive income as an artist. Subscribing, as an indication that you're interested in what I'm making, also motivates me to "keep going!"

3. Finally, another unfortunate part of this platform is that subscription renewal is "opt out" rather than "opt in." I encourage you to mark your subscription renewal date on your calendar so that you can make an empowered decision about renewing or not renewing. Sorry for this--I know it's not ideal.
